New website gets up to speed
The new website www.flandria.be. is getting up to speed. As well as its uncluttered look, it offers plenty of information about the Flandria brand and products. The professional section (E/N/F/D) is good to go. The consumer page (N/F) offers a seasonal calendar, practical information about the range of Flandria products.
Egypt becomes a Fruit Logistica partner country
We are already looking forward to Fruit Logistica 2016. This show runs from 3 to 5 February and offers a complete market overview of all products and services in the global fruit, vegetable and potato business. As usual, there will be new innovations being unveiled and also lots of events being run.
Egypt is the official partner country this year. It will be present with the major exporters. The Egyptian pavilion will organise the official opening of the show on 3 February 2016. The ten nominations for the Fruit Logistica Innovation Award 2016 will be exhibited at the show in Berlin.
Belgian fruit, vegetable and potato sector organises tomato conference
From 13 to 15 April 2016 inclusive, the Radisson Blu hotel in Antwerp is staging an international tomato conference on the topic of 'Tomatoes, trends towards 2020'. The conference aims to focus on tomatoes and current developments within the product group, and at the same time offer opportunities for networking.
The congress starts on Wednesday 13 April 2016. The daily programme offers participants the choice between a scientific side and a commercial side. Both production and consumption of tomatoes for the global fresh market are on offer, as well as topics such as sustainability, innovation and trends. On Thursday 14 April, during the plenary slot, a trend watcher has the 'last' word. On Friday 15 April, there is a programme of visits to auctions, experimental centres and practical businesses.
